Can I safely sell an item?
Only when its quest, recipe, choice and upgrade uses have been checked. A listed sell value alone does not make an item safe to sell.
What is an item used for?
Open the item guide to see its known quest, recipe, skill and shop uses. Any unclear connection is labelled as unknown.
Can I buy the item again?
Known sellers appear on the item guide. Possible loot and a sell price do not prove that a replacement can be bought.
Does a Quest Item always need to be kept?
Check its known uses and whether another copy can be obtained. The Quest Item label alone does not tell you the exact cutoff.
Does a similar name prove an upgrade path?
No. Similar names do not prove that one item upgrades into another. The guide only shows an upgrade path when that connection is known.
Why is an item source missing?
The exact merchant, quest step, container or map location may still be unknown. Possible loot is never presented as a guaranteed source.
