Quick answer

Not available in the current release

Finish an ending and the credits play, then the game returns you to the menu. That is not a postgame free roam, and it is not New Game Plus.

Future status

Possible in the future — not announced

New Game Plus has been discussed as something the developers have considered. It has not been announced, and it is not in the current release.

This page will be updated if an official announcement changes that.

What happens after an ending?

The current shipped loop stops at the menu. It does not open an unrestricted postgame, and it does not start a New Game Plus run.

Day 30 is not the ending

The 30-day clock, the finale, postgame, and New Game Plus are four different things. Reaching Day 30 does not by itself become New Game Plus, and finishing an ending does not open a free-roam postgame.

  • Day 30

The in-game time resource for one run.

  • Ending

The finale and credits for the route you committed.

  • Postgame

Unrestricted free roam after credits. Not in the current release.

  • New Game Plus

A carry-over second run. Not in the current release.

What carries over?

There is no New Game Plus carry-over system. A new playthrough is a new run.

Replayability is not New Game Plus

The current game still has reasons to start another run. That is not the same as inheriting a finished character into a New Game Plus mode.

  • Different ending routes and character epilogues
  • Romance commits and character outcomes
  • Missable quests and timed failures
  • Build, gear and map coverage on a fresh run

Before you finish

If this is the run you care about, check the states you cannot reopen after the finale. A later save at the credits does not restore every earlier branch.

  1. 1. Check timed and missable quests while the run is still open.
  2. 2. Confirm major route commits such as A Deal with the Devil.
  3. 3. Confirm romance commits such as A Closer Look.
  4. 4. Keep a manual save before the finale. One finale save does not reopen every earlier branch.

How to replay

Without New Game Plus, the current ways to see another outcome are reload, a fresh run, or a save you kept on purpose.

  • Reload a save

Use an earlier save if the branch you want is still on that file.

  • Start a new run

A new playthrough does not inherit level, skills, gear or quest progress.

  • Keep milestone saves

Hold files at points you may want to branch from. Do not assume one late save covers every route.

Recommended save points

These are static reminders, not a live save manager. Keep the files yourself if you want another branch later.

  1. 01

    After the prologue

A clean start into the Valley without replaying the opening sequence.

  2. 02

    Before a major route commit

Hold a file before irreversible route locks such as A Deal with the Devil.

    A Deal with the Devil

  3. 03

    Before the finale

Useful for the ending you are about to see. It does not reopen every earlier character or romance branch.

Is there free roam after the ending?

No. The current release returns you to the menu after credits. That is not an open postgame map, and it is not New Game Plus.

Will New Game Plus be added later?

Possible in the future — not announced

Developers have said New Game Plus has been considered. It has not been announced, dated, or enabled in the current release.
