Turns out, a group of bandits was behind the shrine's desecration. I tracked them down, but they weren't very happy to see me. I was able to reclaim the heart and restore the shrine to its former glory.

Step 2: Someone has desecrated the shrine and stolen its heart – typically a saint's figurine. I should take a look around, maybe the culprit left some tracks.
Step 3: The thief was careless and left some tracks behind. I should follow them if I want to reclaim the shrine's heart.
Step 4: I tracked down the bandits who stole the shrine's heart and defeated them. Now I should take a look around their camp and retrieve what they took.
Step 5: I reclaimed the shrine's heart. Only thing left to do is return to the shrine and restore it.
