A group of people desecrated the shrine and wanted to go straight to the knyaz and tell him about their deed... but instead they walked right into a hungry bear. I was able to reclaim the heart and restore the shrine to its former glory.

Step 1: I noticed a lonely Christian shrine... but something is amiss. I should take a closer look.
Step 2: Someone has desecrated the shrine and stolen its heart – typically a saint's figurine. I should take a look around, maybe the culprit left some tracks.
Step 3: The thief was careless and left some tracks behind. I should follow them if I want to reclaim the shrine's heart.
Step 4: I found the thieves... and the bear who tore them to shreds. Still, I hope the shrine's heart is somewhere around here.
Step 5: I reclaimed the shrine's heart. Only thing left to do is return to the shrine and restore it.
