EQUIPMENT · DAY & NIGHT
Coen can use separate equipment between Day and Night. A Sun or Moon symbol on an item can indicate that the item belongs to your Day or Night loadout, even when it appears inside your inventory. Check these markers before selling gear so you do not accidentally sell something used by your other loadout.

🌙 Moon

This item is associated with your nighttime equipment set. Moon = Night loadout.
The icons help identify which equipment set is using an item. Sun means Day loadout. Moon means Night loadout.
If both loadouts use the same item, it may not move in and out of your inventory the same way as a piece used by only one set. Use this as a check, not as a complete inventory rule.

This Day vs Night column is an illustration only. Whether each slot is shared or separate is not fully mapped yet.
A piece of gear appearing in your inventory does not always mean that neither loadout is using it.
STEP 1
Look for a Sun or Moon marker on the item.
STEP 2
Treat marked gear as part of one of your active loadouts.
STEP 3
Switch Day/Night and check both sets if you are unsure.
STEP 4
Save before a large sell-off if you want an extra safety net.
Do not rely only on whether an item appears in the sell list. Check its Day/Night marker before selling.
CHECKLIST
This is a check, not a verdict. It does not read your save and never marks an item as safe.
Does the item show a Sun icon?
Check your Day loadout.
Does it show a Moon icon?
Check your Night loadout.
No icon?
Confirm both loadouts if the item matters to you.
Still unsure?
Keep it until you have checked after a Day/Night switch.
Your Day and Night equipment sets let Coen use different gear for each side of his playstyle. When Day changes to Night, or Night to Day, equipment assigned to the other loadout can become relevant while pieces used only by the previous set return to inventory.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Start with normal loadout behavior. Treat player reports as something that may be happening, not as an official rule.
Normal Behavior
Check the other Day/Night loadout first. The item may still be assigned to only one of your two equipment sets.
Reported Issue
Reopen your equipment screen and check whether the item was assigned to both loadouts or only the current one. If the assignment still behaves inconsistently after switching again, you may be seeing a switching problem rather than normal loadout behavior.
Reported Issue
First confirm whether the item is actually assigned to only one loadout. If a loadout-specific item still has no visible marker, the UI may not be displaying the expected state correctly.
Some players have reported equipment assignments behaving unexpectedly when switching between Day and Night. Hotfix 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 do not list this as a fixed issue. That does not prove a later change, and it does not turn those reports into an official diagnosis.
Yes. Dawnwalker's Day and Night loadouts allow equipment to be managed separately between Coen's two states. That is why an item used by the other loadout can still matter even when it is not part of the set you are currently wearing.

Players have reported accidentally selling gear associated with the other loadout, so check Sun/Moon markers before confirming a sale.
First check whether the item was assigned only to one loadout. If the assignment continues behaving inconsistently, it may be an inventory or loadout issue rather than intended switching behavior.
If your current version does not provide the protection you expect while selling, use the Sun/Moon markers and verify both loadouts before clearing equipment from your inventory.
